E.P.E.S. Senior Authorised Persons (SAP’s) are trained to carry out switching and isolation of customers HV power networks. Our engineers operate under our stringent safety rules and undergo regular training to keep them up-to-date with the latest requirements and health and safety rules.
E.P.E.S. SAP’s can issue permits to work, sanction to test, limitation of access and safety certificates.
Our engineers are trained to carry out all necessary site testing of the network , transformers and HV and LV switchgear including:
• Presure testing ( up to 120kV)
• Primary injection testing
• Secondary injection testing
• Ductor tesing
• Live line testing
• Phasing out and commissioning of power networks up to and including 33kV systems
All our test equipment is fully calibrated and recorded against given test certification.
On completion of installation or service our engineers will complete all nescessary testing, carry out commissioning and re-energisation of the customers network.
Test certification will be issued to the customer on completion of works.
Where it is nescessary for our engineers to request isolation of Electricity Board feeders we will liaise with the DNO (Distribution Network Operator) to obtain the necessary isolation and reenergisation of the system.
E.P.E.S. engineers will also work with the relevent DNO to carry out any cross-over tests needed by both parties to ensure the correct protection settings and discrimination is achieved along with ensuring the overall integrity of the overall network.
E.P.E.S are members of the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA).
