It is with profound sadness that E.P.E.S. announces the passing of our Managing Director, Tony McNally, on 22nd June 2026, aged 69.
Tony joined E.P.E.S. in June 2002 and dedicated more than 24 years of service to the company. Throughout his time with the business, he played an instrumental role in its growth and development, helping to establish E.P.E.S. as the respected and successful organisation it is today.
As Managing Director, Tony’s leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment guided the company through significant milestones and achievements. His influence extended far beyond the business itself, earning the respect of colleagues, customers, suppliers, and industry peers alike.
Those who worked alongside Tony knew him not only as an exceptional leader but also as a trusted colleague, mentor, and friend. His dedication to the company and the people around him helped create the culture and values that continue to define E.P.E.S. today.
Outside of E.P.E.S., Tony was a passionate supporter of rugby and served as President of the Yorkshire Rugby Football Union. He was deeply committed to the game and to supporting its growth at both the grassroots and regional levels.
Through his role, Tony championed the values of rugby and gave his time and energy generously to the sport he loved. His leadership and dedication were widely respected within the rugby community, and his contribution left a lasting impact on the game across the region. He will be remembered with great admiration and gratitude by all who had the privilege of working alongside him in rugby.
Tony’s passing has come as a great shock to everyone. During this difficult time, our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family, friends, and all those who knew him.
While Tony’s loss will be felt deeply across the Bowers Group, his contribution to E.P.E.S. and the legacy he leaves behind will endure for many years to come. We are grateful for the time, leadership, and friendship he gave to our company, and he will be remembered with great respect and affection.
Rest in peace, Tony.
